How to Setup Microsoft Authenticator for the 1st time
1. On Smartphone: Search and download “Microsoft Authenticator” via your App Store (Google play, Apple store etc). Ensure it shares the app name/developer and icon per screenshot below.

2. On Computer: Sign in to your Office 365 account using your own credentials. (via Windows using ‘work or school account’ option, or via web browser, e.g. https://outlook.office.com/)
OR 
3. On Computer: After entering account login credentials, when prompted “Let’s keep your account secure”. Click ‘Next’, through 3 steps, per below screenshots.

4. On Phone: Open the Authenticator app. Click the ‘+’ symbol. Select ‘Work or School Account’, then ‘Scan a QR code’

5. Using your Phone’s camera, scan the QR code on your Computer’s screen. Your Office365 account will now be added within your Authenticator App. Click ‘Next’ on the computer.

6. On Computer: Change the country code to your local zone. Add your phone number in the next field. Ensure “Receive a code” is selected. Click ‘Next’

7. You will receive a text message on your phone. Enter this number in the field on your computer per the image below, and click ‘next’
